This product utilizes recycled paper and was made in the United States. Each icon is a different take on Our Lady of Tenderness, a traditional Orthodox pose of the Mother and Child, which shows Jesus with a shoe falling off. He turns to his Mother for comfort. The spirituality and humanity of each icon will have a special meaning to each viewer. Artist Tom Dolphens was a long-time art director for various publications, who was always inspired by icons. After years of commercial work, he decided to devote his entire life to painting icons in the traditional manner, using egg tempera and age-old techniques.
